On to the world's best!

Meet Jinte Bos, Lizzy de Greef, Maarten Ter Hofte and Robin Groenewoud. These wheelchair tennis talents have the ambition to win Grandslams and reach the world's top. To achieve this, they train hard and push their limits every day.

Experienced wheelchair tennis player Maikel Scheffers will mentor the talents on the professional circuit. The KNLTB helps the talents with an extensive development and training program and guidance.

Coppa Group has been their sponsor for years. We are super proud of that. We wish them lots of success! Meet Lizzy, Jinte, Robin and Maarten.

Lizzy de Greef

Hi, I'm Lizzy. On April 7, 2004, I was born with a clubfoot. At age seven my foot was amputated and later my lower leg. A world opened up for me. I could do much more again and soon became hooked on wheelchair tennis.

I started my first training in 2015 and haven't stopped since. I train six times a week and go to a lot of tournaments. For example, I was at the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024 and recently won the singles at ABN AMRO Open in 2025. And now on to wonderful tournaments and the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

Jinte Bos

My name is Jinte and I was born on September 4, 2002. I have a leg length difference due to scoliosis and hip dysplasia. So at the rehab center I initially started wheelchair tennis as a hobby. From 1 hour of training a week to a lot of training. And after two years, I thought, “I can do this.”.

I am physically and mentally stronger now because of wheelchair tennis. I have learned to cope better with my handicap. I now play tournaments all over the world and competed in the Paralympic Games in Paris.

Robin Groenewoud

Hello, I am Robin Groenewoud, born on August 14, 2003. When I was 12 years old, I was diagnosed with leukemia. The chemotherapies greatly affected the bones and muscles in my legs, so now I cannot walk or stand.

In February 2019, I received my first training in wheelchair tennis and it soon became clear that I had talent. Half a year after this training I joined the Dutch Talents Team of the KNLTB. I now train 5 to 6 times a week (20 hours) and play as many national and international tournaments as possible. My goals are fixed: become number 1 in the world and go to the Paralympic Games!

I am also currently doing an internship for my Marketing & Communications degree in the marketing department of Coppa Group.

Maarten ter Hofte

Hi, my name is Maarten, born on October 3, 2003. I have been dependent on a wheelchair since 2016 because I was born with Spina Bifida. Because of this my lower legs have reduced muscle strength. Playing soccer was my joy and my life, but that was no longer possible. Since 2017, I have been playing wheelchair tennis and that has been going well for me.

The year 2024 was my big breakthrough. Then I won a number of tournaments in the men's and therefore unexpectedly qualified for the Paralympic Games in Paris. What an experience, this tastes like so much more!
