Sustainable management of De Grote Beek estate at GGzE

GGzE is a healthcare institution in Eindhoven dedicated to mental health and welfare. Interim manager Milou François works here, among other things, as process coordinator for greenery, contributing to making the 117-hectare De Grote Beek estate more sustainable.

Versatile assignment with various functions

In her interim assignment, Milou fulfills three positions: policy advisor at the Service Center, project leader within an organization-wide improvement program and process coordinator green. In this last role, she is the link between (internal) customers, suppliers and the available budget. She looks at how green management and maintenance can be smarter and more sustainable. Some of her activities include:

  • Optimize collaboration and contracts with green suppliers by including:
    • Develop image specifications methodology: manage and maintain based on appearance rather than standard work.
    • Implement Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) system: a method to visually inspect and assess tree safety.
  • Participate in area sustainability projects such as Daylighting Water.
  • Connect with local networks for biodiversity and sustainable area development.
  • Responsible for the green management theme within the Green Deal Care 3.0.

Sustainable impact

Milou's work contributes to more sustainable green management and maintenance and the quality of biodiversity on the estate. Partly because of this, GGzE is taking valuable steps towards its sustainability goals.
