Tergooi MC is the hospital of the Gooi- and Vecht region. The Board of Directors asked Hospitality Group to fill the role of program manager for "Working in New Tergooi.
New main location
The demand to respond to innovations in healthcare led to the decision to build a new main location in Hilversum, in the wooded area of Monnikenberg. There, in 2023, all acute, intensive care (such as emergency room (ED), operating rooms, intensive care, radiology, dialysis, endoscopy and day treatment), the clinic and a large part of the outpatient clinics of the current Blaricum and Hilversum locations will be concentrated.
New ways of working
The compact new building is developed and shaped around the patient. This means that we are looking at a patient-oriented way of providing care and adjusting the care logistics process accordingly. With the 'Working in New Tergooi' program, we are developing new ways of working in the new building based on different care flows. These are divided into clinic, outpatient, acute & intensive, diagnostics & imaging, support and treatment center.
Project and line organization work together to compare and reassess the differences in ways of working now and in the future. We translate the outcomes into the effects on operations (including finance, organizational design, capacity design, training), an education and training plan and a feasible operating budget.
Hospitality Group also advises the program organization "Building on Tergooi" on a wide range of issues for the commissioning of the new building and the continuity of care and services.
Experience tour
To kick off the training program, Hospitality Group organized an experience tour together with Tergooi MC. During the tour, employees could get acquainted with the new hospital, the various departments and the newest medical equipment. In addition, the tour was full of inspiration and surprises.
